About Privr

Privr started in Ghent in 2021 as a consultancy helping hospitals and clinics through their first HIPAA audits. The same findings came up every time: access that outlived its purpose, secrets in chat, evidence assembled by hand. By the third engagement we were building the fix instead of the report, and within the year the fix became the company.

Our mission is to make the secure path the fast path. If clinicians have to choose between getting their work done and following policy, policy loses; Privr removes the choice.

How we work

Customers run their own data

Export everything, any time, in open formats. Leaving Privr should be as easy as joining it.

Ship weekly

Small releases, every week, with a changelog people can read. Big launches are where regressions hide.

Plain language

Policies, documentation and incident reports are written so that a new healthcare customer can understand them without a glossary.

Leadership

The team combines people who have run security for hospitals and clinics with engineers who have built identity systems at scale.

Sven Mwangi

Engineering Manager

Leads the team behind the Entitlement Engine. Previously ran platform teams in logistics and retail.

Priya Byrne

Head of Compliance

Former auditor. Makes sure the evidence Privr produces is the evidence auditors actually ask for.

Bram Fontaine

Head of Customer Engineering

Has guided more than a hundred rollouts, most of them in healthcare. Writes the week-one playbook.

Felix Andersson

Staff Engineer, Reliability

On-call lead. Has reduced the platform's dependencies twice and intends to do it again.
